The Lane Day School is a state licensed child care facility serving children 2 to 5 years of age. Located in a ranch style house, the atmosphere is home-like and conducive to child development. Age appropriate toys, books, games, and art materials are offered to each child on a daily basis. Programs include Full Day Care and Preschool classes for ages 2, 3, 4, and 5 years old.

The unique feature of Lane Day School is the setting of both the indoor and outdoor facility. A school-within-a-house lends itself to a very personalized program, allowing each child to be recognized as an individual.
The primary goal of Lane Day School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for each child to enjoy and grow. Children of every race, origin, and nationality are accepted. Each class meets for more than 2 hours on scheduled days. Class sizes maintain a teacher-student ratio that meet both the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and the NKAD (Nursery and Kindergarten Association of Delaware) standards. The small class sizes enable the children to learn and socialize in an atmosphere that is not overwhelming.
